Overview

About Implementation & Systems Integration

A plan pays off only when it runs in production. Desmata takes new platforms and AI solutions from configuration through testing, rollout and handover. We own the work that decides success: integration, data preparation, cutover and training.

Most implementations stall at the edges, where a new system meets an old one. We map those connections first, in interface specifications and data mappings, so surprises appear in week two and not on go-live day.

We roll out in stages and keep the existing process available until the new one has proved itself. Your people learn on real work, and the documentation is written for whoever will run the system next.

Outcomes

What you get

  • Go-live without a work stoppage

Phased rollout with tested rollback plans keeps day-to-day operations running while the new system takes over.

  • Systems that talk to each other

Documented interfaces connect the new solution to your applications, data sources and sign-on, so nobody re-keys data.

  • Clean data from day one

Profiling, mapping and reconciliation reports show what moved, what changed and what did not match.

  • A team that can run it without us

Runbooks, training and a defined hypercare period leave your staff confident and your support path clear.

Capabilities

What we do, in detail

  • End-to-end implementation

One accountable team from configuration to cutover.

    • Configuration, development and unit testing
    • Development, test, staging and production environments
    • Performance and load testing before cutover
    • Phased rollout with rollback plans
  • System integration

Connections built to be monitored and maintained.

    • REST and GraphQL APIs, webhooks and file-based interfaces
    • Event streams and message brokers such as Kafka and RabbitMQ
    • Integration platforms such as MuleSoft and Azure Logic Apps
    • Single sign-on with SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
  • Data preparation and migration

The data a solution depends on, in a usable and reliable state.

    • Source profiling and data quality rules
    • ETL and ELT pipelines
    • Mapping, transformation and reconciliation reports
    • Master data and reference data cleanup
  • AI solution deployment

Models that run inside real business workflows.

    • Model serving behind APIs
    • Document processing and NLP pipelines
    • Human review steps for low-confidence results
    • Evaluation sets that measure accuracy before and after launch
  • Handover and adoption

Knowledge transferred, not just code delivered.

    • Runbooks, architecture diagrams and interface documents
    • Role-based training for users and administrators
    • A hypercare period agreed in the plan
    • A backlog of post-launch improvements

Approach

How an engagement runs

  1. Step 1: Map

We document the processes, systems, data sources and users the solution will touch, and agree the integration points.

  2. Step 2: Build and configure

Configuration and development run in short iterations, with each integration tested on its own.

  3. Step 3: Test with real data

We run user acceptance, performance and security tests against representative data, not samples invented for the demo.

  4. Step 4: Cut over in stages

Teams, sites or transaction types move in sequence. The existing process stays available until each stage is confirmed.

  5. Step 5: Hand over

Documentation, training and a hypercare period move ownership to your team, or into our ongoing support service.

Engagement models

Ways to work with us

  • Implementation project

A defined scope, timeline and acceptance criteria, delivered by a Desmata team.

  • Embedded implementation team

Desmata specialists work inside your project team under a shared plan.

  • Staff augmentation

Integration engineers, migration specialists or testers added to a project you already run.

  • Stalled project recovery

A short review of a project that has slipped, followed by a plan to finish it.

Technology and talent

Technology and talent together

Implementations often need a few specialist roles for a few months. We can fill them from our recruiting network, or deliver the whole project with our own team.

Roles we can also staff

  • Implementation lead
  • Integration engineer
  • Data migration engineer
  • ETL developer
  • Business analyst
  • QA and test engineer
  • Release and DevOps engineer
  • Technical writer
  • Training and change specialist
  • Project manager

Need the people as well as the plan?

The engineers who design the work and the specialists who join your team come from one firm.

Why Desmata

Why Desmata

  • Tailored to your environment

We start from your applications, data and constraints. Nothing is forced into a template that does not match how you work.

  • Delivery team and recruiters together

If a project needs another integration engineer next month, the same firm can place one without a new vendor search.

  • Outcome-driven delivery

Acceptance criteria and KPIs are written down before build starts, so go-live means the agreed results, not just a deployed system.

Our work in practice

Case highlight

Virtual SME: workflow automation for claims

Virtual SME is a smart claims-processing interface for insurers and enterprises. It combines NLP-based document understanding, workflow automation and contextual analytics to raise productivity and reduce human error. It shows what implementation work looks like in practice: language models connected to the documents and workflows people already use.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between your implementation service and your product development service?

Product development builds new software from a blank page. Implementation takes a platform or solution that is already chosen or designed and gets it configured, integrated, tested and running in your environment.

Can you integrate with our legacy systems?

Yes. We have experience placing APIs, message queues or file-based interfaces around older systems so newer tools can use their data. We document each interface and test it independently before cutover.

How do you handle data migration risk?

We profile the source data first, agree mapping rules with the business owners, and run trial migrations with reconciliation reports. Cutover happens only when the reports match agreed tolerances.

Who supports the system after go-live?

A hypercare period is part of the plan. After that, your team can take over with our documentation and training, or you can move to our ongoing support and optimization service.

Ready to get a solution into production?

Share what you are implementing and which systems it must connect to. We will come back with an integration map, the main risks and the team it needs.
